This is one of the simplest forms of exercise you can do for your body and reap major benefits. The best yet is that walking is absolutely free and gets you outside! Walking improves your cardiovascular system, lymphatic system, musculoskeletal system and nervous system. Walking is vital for your mental health and can instantly reduce your stress. Walking increases your bone density and improves your balance.
Walking will lower your blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, BMI and stress hormone cortisol. Walking will improve your mental outlook, memory, and cognitive functioning. Walking can help protect against dementia, peripheral artery disease, obesity, diabetes, depression and certain forms of cancer.
